Alma Body and Beauty Policies

Booking Fee Policy

To secure your appointment, a booking fee of £10 is required at the time of booking.

  • The booking fee is deducted from the total treatment cost.
  • The remaining balance is payable on the day of your appointment.
  • Appointments are not confirmed until the booking fee has been received.
  • Booking fees help us protect appointment availability and ensure treatment times are reserved exclusively for you.

Alma Body and Beauty reserves the right to review booking fee requirements and payment terms as the business develops.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that plans can change. If you need to amend your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.

More than 48 Hours' Notice

  • Your booking fee can be refunded in full or transferred to a new appointment date.

Between 24 and 48 Hours' Notice

  • Your booking fee may be transferred to a new appointment date.
  • Refund requests will be considered at our discretion.

Less than 24 Hours' Notice

  • The booking fee will be retained to cover the reserved appointment time.

Failure to Attend (No-Show)

  • If you fail to attend your appointment without notice, the booking fee will be retained.
  • Repeat no-show clients may be required to pay for future appointments in full at the time of booking.

Late Arrival Policy

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

  • Late arrival may result in your treatment being shortened to avoid disrupting other clients.
  • The full treatment fee may still apply regardless of the treatment duration received.
  • If you are significantly delayed, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and cancellation charges may apply.

Consultation & Medical Information

Your safety and wellbeing are our priority.

  • All clients must complete a consultation form before their first treatment.
  • Clients are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date medical information.
  • Any changes to your health, medication or medical history should be disclosed before treatment begins.
  • Information provided will be treated confidentially and stored in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

Treatment Suitability & Safety

Alma Body and Beauty reserves the right to adapt, postpone or refuse treatment where it is considered unsuitable, unsafe, or not in the client's best interests.

This may include:

  • Contraindications to treatment
  • Recent surgery or medical procedures
  • Pregnancy-related considerations
  • Allergic reactions or skin sensitivities
  • Any condition that may affect treatment safety or treatment outcomes

Any payment arrangements relating to cancelled or adapted treatments will be handled fairly and reasonably.

Patch Testing Policy

Where required by product manufacturers, insurance providers or professional guidelines, a patch test must be carried out before treatment.

  • Clients must follow all patch testing instructions provided.
  • A successful patch test does not guarantee that an allergic reaction will not occur.
  • Although patch testing helps identify potential sensitivities, reactions can still develop during or after treatment.
  • Alma Body and Beauty cannot guarantee that sensitivity reactions will not occur.

Failure to attend a required patch test may result in the treatment being postponed or cancelled.

Spray Tanning Policy

To achieve the best possible results from your spray tan:

Before Your Appointment

  • Exfoliate and moisturise as advised prior to treatment.
  • Avoid applying deodorant, perfume, makeup, oils or body lotions on the day of your appointment.
  • Wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment.

After Your Appointment

  • Follow all aftercare advice provided.
  • Avoid bathing, swimming, excessive sweating or applying products to the skin during the tan development period.
  • Results may vary depending on skin type, preparation and aftercare.

Massage Therapy Policy

For your comfort and safety:

  • Please inform your therapist of any injuries, medical conditions or concerns before treatment.
  • Drinking plenty of water before and after treatment is recommended.
  • Massage pressure and techniques can be adjusted to suit your comfort level.
  • Treatments may be adapted where necessary to ensure your safety and wellbeing.
